These are the new schedules for 2008 & 2009.


Basic

An introduction to Pattern Flying to help you get to understand the basics of flying a schedule.Surprisingly challenging if you haven't flown a designated schedule previously. You can fly this schedule with just about any airplane you like, even a trainer!


   
  Sportsman    
 

First schedule recognised by the Australian Pattern Association (APA). Get the basics right here and you will soon be moving up! No need for a special Pattern Aircraft, a forty size aircraft works just fine. You will find a set of Calling Cards in PDF format here and you can also review descriptions for these manouvres here.


   
  Advanced    
  Getting a bit harder but you get the hang of it quickly, surprising really how soon you can do things you couldn't previously even imagine, review the schedule here.    
 
Expert

  Masters/F3A    
 

The highest level of pattern flying worldwide is called FAI-F3A. These are the patterns flown at world championships and CAAOC meetings, you will find the PO9 Schedule here, while an Arresti diagram (very handy) of the manouvres is here.
